COVID-19 Update to Our Facilities

The 19th Hole

The 19th Hole is now open able to seat 50% capacity with a full menu. In order to maintain safe distance between parties DO NOT move any of the tables or chairs, inside the 19th Hole or on the veranda.  Bar seating is still not permitted however alcoholic beverages will be served for on-premises consumption.

Beginning Friday May 22, the 19th Hole restaurant hours will be as follows:

Sunday – Thursday from 12PM to 8PM

Friday & Saturday from 12PM to 9PM

Clubhouse Fitness Center & Library

On Friday May 22 we will be reopening the fitness center and library in the clubhouse. We have moved around some of the equipment in the fitness center to help increase distance between occupants, and have installed hand sanitizer dispensers and sanitary wipe dispensers in both rooms. Everyone’s safety is of course our primary concern, so as an extra precautionary measure, some new rules are being implemented to help minimize risk of spreading the virus:

  1. Use of the fitness machines and presence in the fitness center and the library is at your own risk – VCCCHOA assumes no responsibility or liability for any damage claims arising from the reopening of any HOA common facilities.
  1. Occupants of the library and fitness center are responsible for self-regulating occupancy levels and maintaining 6-foot distance between occupants at all times.
  1. Daily cleanings by the HOA’s janitorial contractor have been increased, but just as before the pandemic, occupants of the fitness center are responsible for wiping down the fitness machines after each use. Germicide wipes have been provided and will be restocked as required as long as supplies last
  1. Security cameras will continue to record all activity in the fitness center and library. If the posted rules are not being adhered to, and particularly if the containers of sanitary wipes begin to “disappear”, then the fitness center and library may be closed until further notice.

Once again, the fitness center and library will remain open to Ventura residents only as long as they comply with the posted rules regarding use of the facilities. Everyone’s cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Clubhouse swimming pool

Pool furniture has been spread out in order to maintain a safe distance between occupants. All occupants of the pool compound must maintain 6-feet distance from one another at all times, and must abide by all other rules pertaining to use of the pool. Security will be enforcing social distancing within the pool compound and the other pool rules, particularly regarding alcohol and glass containers. Please be sure to have your pool pass, if you do not have one while in the pool Security will ask you leave. If you are in need of a pool pass, please visit the admin office from 8:30AM to 5PM, Monday – Friday to obtain one.

Golf Course

Golf operations will continue on a daily basis with the additional precautionary measures that have been implemented.

Greetings Ventura Residents

In my Venture message this month I outlined the federal government’s plan for the three-phase reopening of the U.S. economy. These are general guidelines that do not include specific dates – the governors of each state have the authority to determine when the reopening is to take place and how long each phase will last, and they also have authority to impose additional restrictions not included in the federal government’s plan. The most recent Executive Order issued by the Governor of Florida (Order #20-112, copy attached), allows for the reopening of certain non-essential businesses on Monday May 4 – the order also contains some additional restrictions not included in the federal government’s reopening plan. SO..…here is how operations of Ventura Country Club are affected by Executive Order #20-112:

Administration Office

We had originally planned for the Admin office to reopen on Friday May 1, after expiration of the governor’s previous Order #20-91. Order #20-112 replaces previous order #20-91, and requires non-essential business to remain closed until May 4. Accordingly, the Admin office will reopen Monday May 4 at 8:30 AM.

19th Hole Restaurant

The 19th Hole will continue to provide takeout service this weekend, then will reopen for sit-down dining on Monday May 4 at 12:00 noon.  In order to maintain safe distance between parties, the governor’s order imposes strict limitations on seating capacity both inside the dining room and outside on the patio – so guests are asked to be patient as fewer people can be accommodated during these initial phases of the reopening of the economy. Bar seating is not permitted during Phase One, however alcoholic beverages will be served for on-premises consumption. The current limited menu will remain in effect for one week, after which we will return to the full menu. So beginning Monday May 4, the 19thHole restaurant will be open for sit-down dining from 12PM to 8PM, seven days a week. Last call to place your order will be at 7:45PM

Ballroom and Maple Room

Since the government’s restriction on gatherings of 10+ persons remains in effect, group functions and catered events originally planned to take place in the clubhouse ballroom and Maple Room will remain suspended until further notice.

Clubhouse Fitness Center

We had hoped to reopen the fitness center as part of Phase One, but Section 3.C. of Executive Order # 20-112 specifically says that all “gyms and fitness centers” shall remain closed until further notice.

Clubhouse swimming pool

The clubhouse pool will reopen on Monday May 4 at 8:00AM.

Golf Course

Golf operations will continue on a daily basis with the additional precautionary measures that have been implemented.

This is a fluid situation that changes constantly – we appreciate everyone’s patience and we will keep you posted as new developments occur.
